A Cause for the Commission

The Middle East conflict is the crucible in which so many ideologies are forged and shaped. The Middle East conflict affects not just the Jews and Arabs directly involved in the conflict, but also the millions of Jews and Arabs in the United States and throughout the world. But what has been the predominant message from the Western Church during this critical time in human history? Sadly, the Western Church has not used the Middle East conflict as a vehicle for promoting the Gospel. Instead, the current events have been used predominantly for promoting competing End-Times views. The result has been that Jews and Muslims have been alienated from the Christian message. At the end of the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon, Abdu Murray, a Lebanese former Muslim, delivered his message, "A Cause for the Commission," in which he discusses how the real tragedy of the Middle East conflict is not just that people are dying on each side, but that they are dying without knowing Christ.
