Hey friends, I hope you’re doing well as summer winds down. Maybe your kids are already back in school or you’re getting ready to send them off soon.
Now, for us at Embrace the Truth, it’s been an incredibly fruitful summer of ministry and we’re already looking ahead to a very exciting fall with open forums on university campuses and international travel to places like Argentina, Dubai, and Peru.
Now, as many of you know, summer is often a time when giving does slow down, but the ministry does not slow down. If anything, the work continues to grow and we depend on your prayers and financial support to keep reaching people with truth and grace.
And I want to share a highlight about how we did just that I hope will encourage you and equip you. This summer I had the chance to dialogue with Fred Stella, a former Catholic who became a Hindu. And we did this at the Compass Church in the Chicago area. The goal of the event was to draw in non-Christians and it worked. The place was full.
Afterwards, I had a meaningful conversation with a Hindu man who had attended. He told me that my response to the question, “Do all paths lead to God?” made him stop and completely have to rethink his worldview. His particular tradition of Hinduism is universalist. But Jesus’s own words simply applied to our modern issues and to this guy’s question challenged him in a way that he could not ignore. And that’s the kind of seed planting your support makes possible.
Now, in the next episode of All Rise coming on Monday, you’ll be able to see the entire dialogue, so make sure to check it out.
Now, speaking of rethinking your worldview, I want to highlight a powerful story you’ll also find linked in this newsletter, also on our All Rise podcast. We recently featured Kyla Gillespie, a woman who detransitioned after years of living as a man. What makes her story especially important is that she was a committed Christian when she began to doubt her gender and pursue hormone blockers and surgery. By God’s grace, she rediscovered her true identity in Christ and detransitioned.
Her story is a sobering reminder that cultural ideologies can deceive anyone, even those who deeply love Jesus. But it’s also a testimony of God’s power to restore.
Now, friends, stories like these show how urgent and necessary this ministry actually is. And if you’ve benefited from our ministry and content, but you haven’t given yet, can I gently ask you to consider making a gift to Embrace the Truth so that we can continue with gospel ministry?
And for those of you who have given, we are so grateful for your previous and continuing support. Your prayers and generosity make all the difference.
Thank you guys so much for standing with us. We could not do this without you. God bless. Enjoy the content.
